At Pure Talent Agency's School of Dance, you will learn stage presence, costuming and music selection, hair and makeup techniques, conversation guidelines, establishing credits, photo shoots, marketing and so much more! All of these qualities in you are directly related to your income potential in this business. There really is a lot to learn before you step your heels up on the stage and I am confident you will learn more here in one week then you would over a few years in this business on your own or studying from someone else. Not only will you have excellent dance instruction from one our guest feature instructors and our talented choreographer, but you will also spend time learning important, detailed information about what club owners expect from you, what your agent expects from you, legal issues, safety on the road and longevity in a short lived business. My name is Ann Marie Hayek and I own Pure Talent Agency and the Pure Talent School of Dance. I will be in attendance everyday to participate and oversee the class. I am a pro in this field and have over 20 plus years in the exotic dance business owing my company, Pure talent for the past 15 plus years. I was a feature entertainer myself for 5 years and managed and booked my revue show "The Dream Girl Centerfolds" for 5 years nationally in both mainstream venues as well as the Gentlemen's clubs. I take great pride in this School. We have a fantastic success record with the girls who are serious about their feature dancing career and who have taken the time, energy and money to attend the School. Classes run Tuesday or Wednesday through Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm. We have chosen an independent dance studio located in Clearwater, FL for the dance portion of the class. There is time set aside each day to go over a detailed curriculum and have a question and answer session. This part of the class is incredibly informative and a favorite among the graduates. A professional hair and makeup company comes in to go over the newest and latest techniques for you. Although class does not start until Monday, it is recommended that you arrive the night before. We suggest you get a good nights sleep and have a fresh start on your first day. It is important that you arrive at the dance studio at 10:45am everyday. This will give you 15 minutes to get everything ready to start at 11:00am. If you are late for class you will miss valuable information. For those out of town girls, we have discount hotel rates available when you sign up for the class.
Following are some tips on what you can do to increase your learning potential. The most important thing is for you to be comfortable both in the dance studio and during lecture. You should wear clothes you can move in such as shorts and t-shirts or stretchy pants and Lycra tops. Bring a pair of tennis shoes as well as a pair of high heels. Platform shoes are not recommended, but do bring them if that is what you are comfortable wearing. If your shoes are new, wear them around the house so they are broken in before class. If you have any costuming at all, please bring them so we can show you the best way to work with what you already have. We also supply several real and very expensive feature costumes for your use during class if you don't have any. Music will be provided for all classes, but we encourage you to bring your own if you like a certain style. Do however bring your own under pieces such as a bra's and t-back's, stockings and garter belt, ect. Since we are teaching you the art of striptease, it is important to have what the pro's actually wear on stage to practice your stripping techniques.
Aside from the proper clothes, there are other items you will want to bring as well. Have a notebook and a pen or pencil with you. You will want to take a lot of notes this week! In order to stay focused and full of energy, you may want to have some energy snacks with you during class. There are several stores in the area where you can get water, juice, fresh fruits and vegetables and other nutritious snacks. We do break for lunch everyday, however you might want to keep something with you just in case you get hungry. There may be press from magazines, newspapers and television at any of the classes. We will have a model release form for you to fill out the first day of class in order to be a part of this. The model release will also allow you to be featured on the Pure Talent Agency web site and marketing for our school of dance. Not only is this great publicity for you, but this is a chance for you to earn instant credits for your career. If you do not want to sign a release and be part of any publicity that is fine too. Anytime press would be attending, you would be notified weeks before the class. We realize not everyone wants the press in attendance and only have it at classes where everyone is comfortable and happy. You must be 18 years of age and bring a valid driver's license or photo I. D. with you for proof of age or you will not be allowed to participate in the school.
